Looks like Alex Sink might get her way on a special session despite our work allergic Governor’s indifference. Poeple are starting to see the wisdom in getting started on this issue now, including incoming House Speaker Ray Sansom.
The Political Pulse reports that Sansom is “sounding a little less convinced the Legislature can avoid a special budget-cutting session before the end of the year.”
Adding their voice to the Tallahassee Democrat writes in an editorial that Alex Sink’s call for a special session “Makes Sense.” In the editorial adding that: “So far, the top policymakers aren’t listening, preferring instead to practice a policy of avoidance. This is not what we would call inspired leadership.”
In addition, Florida Tax Watch, has also called for special session saying “Legislature Must Act Before December 15 to Avoid Potential Loss of Jobs
